COLUMBIA (WACH)--Two city parks are temporarily closed due to rising water levels.

The City of Columbia Department of Parks and Recreation has closed Granby Park and the lower walkway at the north end of Riverfront Park until further notice.

City park officials are monitoring the water levels from the Broad and Saluda Rivers.

Riverfront Park is open to the public except for the walkway at the Broad River Road entrance.

The north end of Riverfront Park and Granby Park will reopen when the water levels have receded enough to make both areas safe for public use.
