CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The South Carolina Aquarium is adding more residents.   Five more sharks are being added to the great ocean tank at the aquarium in Charleston.

The aquarium on Monday adds a rare black tip shark as well as four sandbar sharks -- one of the most common types of sharks found off the South Carolina coast.

The addition of the five new sharks means the tank now has a total of ten. The tank already had two nurse sharks and three sand tiger sharks.  The 300,000-gallon great ocean tank is the largest exhibit at the aquarium, which this year marks its 10th anniversary.

Experts say there are 39 species of shark off the South Carolina coast and about 500 species in the world.
