COLUMBIA -- A car headed into downtown Columbia on I-126 ended up wedged beneath the Greystone Blvd. overpass Monday afternoon.
The force of the impact heavily damaged the car's roof and spun the vehicle around. Somehow the driver of the vehicle walked away, said Columbia Police spokesman Brick Lewis.
"The driver is walking around and speaking with our officer," said Lewis. "There don't appear to be any injuries."
Lewis said the driver told investigators they swerved to avoid another vehicle. Lewis was unaware if any charges were expected to be filed.
