GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- There could be lumps of coal in the stockings for four South Carolina teens accused of vandalizing holiday decorations.
Multiple media outlets reported the four 17-year-olds are charged with malicious damage to personal property after some residents in Simpsonville found the decorations damaged Sunday morning.
Authorities say lighted reindeer, snowmen, decorative trains and a singing Santa ornament were damaged or thrown in the street.
Greenville County sheriff's Lt. Shea Smith says after officers got a report of damage to a six-foot-tall Santa Claus, they saw a vehicle driving erratically and stopped it and arrested the teens.
They were released from jail Monday.
