(AP) -- A panel weighing whether Gov. Mark Sanford should be impeached is nearly done with its work.

The special committee meets Wednesday for the fifth time and is expected to get final details of arrangements tied to Sanford's 2008 taxpayer-funded trip to Buenos Aires. Sanford has said that trip started a yearlong affair with an Argentine woman to which he confessed after he disappeared for five days in June to spend time with her.

Since then legislators have called for his resignation and a State Ethics Commission investigation yielded 37 allegations he broke state laws on involving travel and campaign funds.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Harrison of Columbia said Wednesday's meeting could be the last for the panel.
