(AP) -- A project manager says construction of the 3rd Army/U.S. Army Central headquarters complex at a South Carolina military base is on time.
The Item of Sumter reports that Franklin Forbes, senior project manager for the 3rd Army's new headquarters at Shaw Air Force Base, said during a tour of the site that the project is about 20 percent complete, which is exactly where it should be at this time.
Ground was broken on the $91.5 million project in August.
The move will be completed by September 2011, when the final military members and their families will be sent permanently to Shaw.
