COLUMBIA -- A 29-year old Dillon County man faces multiple charges after he was arrested Tuesday and accused of having sex with a teenage girl.
Investigators say William Truett Rogers, 29, met the 13-year-old girl for sex after sending her obscene messages via the internet.
Attorney General Henry McMaster says S.C. Law Enforcement Division investigators determined during an interview with Rogers that he had sex with the girl and may also have kept images of child pornography on his computer.
SLED and the Dillon County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at Rogers' residence, where they seized a computer.
Rogers is charged with felony criminal soliciation of a minor, dissemination of harmful material to a minor and criminal sexual conduct with a minor. He also faces 18 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Rogers remains at the Dillon County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
