(AP) -- The trial of a South Carolina woman charged with killing three children in her home day care is under way.
The State newspaper reports opening arguments are expected Tuesday in the case against Andrea Person. A jury was seated Monday. The 42-year-old is charged with homicide by child abuse in the 1998 death of 1-year-old Zackery Ulengchong.
Person operated a day care in her Columbia home for 14 years.
She was initially arrested in 2007 when another child at her day care died. She was later charged with the 2001 death of a 4-year-old boy.
Authorities had said the 1998 and 2001 deaths did not appear suspicious but reviewed them after 2-month-old Michael Walker suffocated in April 2007.
