An early morning police chase starting on Interstate 126 ended with a collision involving a school bus. No children were on board at the time.
Richland County Sheriff's Deputies say a man driving a white Mercedes car sped past a deputy on Greystone Boulevard. The deputy chased the vehicle onto the interstate until the man's Mercedes struck a Pontiac car and the school bus on Huger Street at Taylor Street.
Three people were injured in the collision, including the Mercedes' driver, identified by the sheriff's department as Harry Harris, 31, of Virginia. All three have been taken to Palmetto Health Richland for treatment. The Pontiac and bus drivers were also injured, there names have not been released at this time. The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating.
