COLUMBIA, S.C. -- An SUV was crushed by a tree near Cardinal Newman High School Wednesday evening.

The tree broke in half.  Officials suspect that the strong winds from the severe storms that rolled through the Midlands might have led to the tree to topple over.

Three people were injured, but two of them were in fair condition, and the other person was in good condition according to Richland County officials.
