Congressman Clyburn honored by a public works group

Congressman James Clyburn was honored by the American Public Works Association Monday.

The congressman received the 2009 Citation for Exemplary Service to Public Works.

The City of Columbia nominated Congressman Clyburn, saying that as the third-highest ranking leader in the House of Representatives, he played a major role in coordinating public works projects.

The ceremony was held on the South Carolina State House grounds.
