COLUMBIA, SC -- General George Casey, Jr., the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, will be in Columbia Wednesday and Thursday for a reception in his honor.
The Military Affairs Committee of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at the former Sterling Garden Center.
General Casey is expected to speak Wednesday night.
The General served as the Commander of the Multi-National Force in Iraq from 2004 to 2007. He is currently the highest ranking officer in the United States Army.
