ORLANDO, FL (AP) -- A witness to the weekend accident involving a monorail at Walt Disney World described it as a "head-on collision" between two trains.
The 911 calls that followed the fatal crash are being released. One male caller reported that a train that was either waiting to come into the station or hadn't left the station was struck head-on by another one that went through the station.
One train operator died in the crash, which took place as the park resort was shutting down for the night. A Disney spokeswoman says one of the trains was being transferred off the rail line.
In another 911 call, a Disney employee described hearing a "big bang," and said it was something involving the monorail.
The monorail system shuttles thousands of visitors around the resort every day. It was shut down yesterday, but it's now been reopened.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has opened an investigation that could take six months.
