GAFFNEY, SC (AP) -- Hundreds of people turned out Sunday for the funerals of two of the five victims of a suspected South Carolina serial killer.
Funerals were held Sunday afternoon at First Baptist Church in Gaffney for 50-year-old Gena Linder Parker and her mother, 83-year-old Hazel Linder.
WSPA reported Sunday that law enforcement provided security for the family and for those attending the funeral and a visitation held earlier in the day.
The killings began a week ago Saturday when the wife of 63-year-old peach farmer Kline Cash found him dead in their home. Then last Wednesday, relatives found Linder and Parker.
On Thursday, Stephen Tyler and his 15-year-old daughter, Abby, were shot as they worked to close the Tyler Home Center near downtown Gaffney. He died Thursday, while Abby Tyler died Saturday.
