Man in jail after shootings

COLUMBIA, SC -- A Richland County man is in jail facing several serious charges.

They all stem from a morning shooting.

Deputies say Alexander Benjamin forced his way into his estrange wife's Nottingham court home, then fired several shots inside.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Investigators tracked Benjamin down a short time later.

He faces several charges, including assault and battery with intent to kill.
