(AP) -- MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- The body of a missing 16-year-old South Carolina boy has washed ashore at Myrtle Beach.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported a lifeguard found the body of Conway High School student Troy Southern Tuesday.

Horry County Deputy Coroner Chris Burroughs says Southern drowned. No autopsy is planned.

Capt. David Knipes says the body was found about 9:20 a.m. near where he had been swimming Sunday afternoon. Southern had been swimming with a friend when he called for help.

A Sumter woman went under Saturday while vacationing in Myrtle Beach. Horry County Coroner Tamara Willard said preliminary autopsy results on 40-year-old Annette Brunson indicate she drowned.
