The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is out in force to make sure you’re safe on the water.
During Memorial Day weekend, DNR will perform boat inspections and look for required safety equipment and proper registration.
If you have any questions, you can ask the officers questions on the waters.
If you see any boating violations, you can give DNR a call at 1-800-922-5431.
For Lake Murray, here’s a look at the times DNR officials will be out on the waters for inspections:
Lake Murray Big Man's Ramp/Hwy 391:
May 22, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
May 23, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
May 24, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Billy Dreher Island:
May 22, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
May 23, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
May 24, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Lake Murray Dam (Irmo Side):
May 22, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
May 23, 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.
May 24, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
