SIMPSONVILLE, SC (AP) -- The skies over northern South Carolina will be full of hot air balloons this weekend.

Freedom Weekend Aloft takes flight for a 28th year beginning Friday at Heritage Park in Simpsonville.

The four-day Memorial Day weekend festival will feature dozens of brightly colored hot air balloons, and visitors will have a chance to take a balloon flight.

There will also be concerts in the park amphitheater featuring more than 30 hours of music. Artists include Gavin DeGraw, Foghat and the Chairmen of The Board.
