LEXINGTON, SC (AP) -- Authorities say a South Carolina man charged with murder for killing his live-in girlfriend and dumping her body on a road near I-26 also killed a teen whose body was found about six miles away.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said Friday ballistics tests show the same gun used two days ago to kill 37-year-old Thomas Taylor's girlfriend was also used to shoot 17-year-old Dequan Davis.

The two bodies were found two hours apart near I-26 about six miles from each other.

Metts says Taylor killed Azell Barton after a domestic dispute, and the shooting of Davis appears to be a random act.

Taylor is awaiting a bond hearing on the latest charge and it is unclear if he had an attorney.
