ORANGEBURG, SC (AP) -- There's help this weekend for South Carolinians who may lose their homes to foreclosure.

The South Carolina Foreclosure Task Force will hold a clinic Saturday morning at Belcher Hall at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg.

Homeowners who are late on one or more mortgage payments can get assistance from Department of Housing and Urban Development mortgage counselors.

They will have information on President Barack Obama administration's plan to make homes affordable as well as the recent state Supreme Court ruling on foreclosures.

The high court temporarily stopped thousands of pending foreclosure sales to give homeowners more time to take advantage of a new federal refinancing program.
