ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC -- A bicyclist is dead after a fatal collision in Orangeburg County.
Officials say at 11:15 AM Sunday morning, a 1996 Mercury Sedan and a bicycle were traveling down US Highway 301 when the bicyclist tried to make a left turn from the right lane. The car was already in the left lane when the wreck happened.
That’s when officials say the car hit the bicyclist.
The investigation continues, and there is no word on whether charges will be filed against the driver.
