Suspects Charge $6,000 on Victim's Debit Card

NEWBERRY, SC -- Newberry Police seek assistance in identifying two black male suspects who  used a Lexington County victim’s credit/debit card to make unauthorized purchases of three gift cards totaling $6,000.00 at Wal-Mart in Newberry, S.C. on April 25, 2009.  

The suspects appear to be in their early twenties, wearing white T-shirts, dark pants and black hats, and driving a compact dark colored car. 

The suspects had a new debit/credit card issued in the victim’s name and it was delivered by FEDEX to a local motel  in Newberry.

After taking delivery of the FEDEX package, the suspects activated the card and went to Wal-Mart and made the unauthorized purchases.

Anyone with information in this case, is asked to call Crimestoppers, or Newberry Police at (803) 321-1010.
