(AP) -- WAGENER, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina woman accused of trying to illegally purchase prescription drugs now faces a new charge after police say she gave blood pressure medication to her two sons.

The Aiken Standard reported Thursday that Erica Hatcher of Wagener is charged with two counts of unlawful conduct toward a child.

She already faced prescription drug fraud charges for allegedly trying to buy Oxycotin and other medications on Feb. 29 without a prescription. She was charged April 9 with possession of prescription pills without a prescription after a car crash.

Hatcher was being held at the Aiken County jail Thursday. It's unclear if she has an attorney.

Investigators say Hatcher gave her 7-year-old and 4-year-old sons Clonidine, commonly prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The children were not prescribed the drugs.
