Columbia, S.C. - South Carolina is gearing up for a key SEC home series at Carolina Stadium. The Auburn Tigers (24-13, 7-8 SEC) come to Columbia for a three-game set with the same record as the Gamecocks (24-13, 7-8 SEC).
South Carolina and Auburn are in a three-way tie with Alabama for seventh place in the Southeastern Conference. The Gamecocks swept a three-game series at Auburn last year and owns a 30-16 edge in the series history including a 25-8 mark under head coach Ray Tanner. All three games last season on the Plains were decided by three runs or less.
First pitch for game one is set for Friday at 7 pm. Saturday's game is set for 4 pm and the series finale is scheduled for 1:30 on Sunday afternoon.
