A 49-year old bridge in Lexington County carrying more than 137,000 vehicles daily is rated South Carolina¹s top substandard bridge, according to AAA Carolinas.
AAA rated four bridges in Lexington County and four in Richland County among the state¹s top 20 substandard bridges.
Five bridges in Charleston County also made the list as did two each in York and Greenville Counties.
Approximately 23 percent of the state¹s bridges are rated substandard but none pose an immediate threat to motorists at this time.
