Downtown fire causes $53,000 in damages

Columbia fire officials are investigating a fire that took place at a home on Washington Street. 

The fire started around 11 o'clock Monday night.  Three people were at the home but no one was injured. 

A firefighter was injured and treated on the scene, Deputy Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins says he is in good conditon.

Damages from the fire are estimated at $53,000.
