Sheriff Leon Lott of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the communities’ assistance in locating Corey Sanders (DOB 7-3-89)
Sheriff Lott stated that on March 11, 2009 Sanders had a verbal altercation with a twenty year old while they were at Killian Park. Both men left the park, however, investigators believe that Sanders searched for the victim and located him in the Newcastle Neighborhood. Sanders then confronted the victim and punched him in the face. Sheriff Lott stated the victim attempted to flee and Sanders pulled out a pistol and shot several rounds at the victim.
Sanders has a history of being involved in physical altercations, is believed to be involved in other shooting incidents and is a known gang member.
