The search is over for a woman who spent several weeks running from police. Officers had 22-year-old Katrina Jivers on their radar since February 12th. Investigators say a bail bonding company turned her in. Jivers was in court Tuesday morning facing more charges for unlawful conduct and contributing to the delinquiency of a child.
These charges concern Jivers two-year-old daughter Kyra who has been in DSS care since february 10th. Test results came back weeks later showing the child had a significant amount of cocaine in her system.
Everything stems from a February 7th arrest when police accused Jivers of smoking marjuana. At that time, officers took her son Curtis and placed him in DSS care. Less than 24-hours later, he died.
