COLUMBIA, SC -- An eleven-year-old has organized a hair collection to support “Wigs for Kids” or “Pantene Beautiful Lengths.”

Sarah Brotman says she wanted to do this project because she wanted to help those in need and to also show that cancer can be defeated.  Her grandmother was the recipient of a wig in the past while she was fighting cancer, and Brotman says her grandmother’s spirits lifted because of it.

The collection took place Saturday at Wella Professionals School in northeast Columbia.
