The City of Columbia has begun a nationwide search for the City Manager position. Serving as the City’s Chief Executive Officer to the Mayor and City Council, the ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university, a Master’s degree in Public Administration and the distinction of ICMA Credentialed Manager is preferred. In addition to having strong leadership and management skills, reflecting an excellent history in evaluating, recruiting, developing and empowering employees, the successful candidate must have a minimum of ten (10) years experience either as a City or County Manager. Salary and compensation are negotiable depending on qualifications.
