GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC -- A Georgetown boy is dead after his older sister ran over him on Saturday.
The local coroner says five-year-old Marcus Cole was on a swing set in their yard. His 17-year-old sister was going to wash the family van and moved the car. During that time, the boy got off the swing set. The sister didn’t realize he wasn’t on the swing set and hit him.
The coroner says the boy died of internal injuries and a blow to the head.
The case is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, but they do not anticipate any charges.
