GASTON, SC -- After a difficult year for Gaston, some high school girls are trying to bring something positive to the troubled town.

Three Girl Scouts are building a new welcome sign for Gaston as a community service project.  According to these high schoolers, they are hoping this project will bring a new positive light to the town and also show others that the entire town is “not the same as a few”.

Heather, a 10th grader, says, “If three little girls can build a welcome sign, then the entire town should be able to rebuild itself.”
