COLUMBIA, SC -- Police have arrested Andrew Plummer after officials say he tried to rob a local convenience store.  

Officers received a call Friday night after they say Plummer entered the Am Pm store with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. 

A witness described Plummer’s car, which helped officials track him down to the Carriage Oaks Apartment on Clemson Road.

Plummer is now at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
