MYRTLE BEACH, SC (AP) -- Organizers of a free foreclosure clinic in Myrtle Beach expect hundreds of homeowners to turn out to get help in dealing with their financial problems.

Those attending the Saturday session will be able to get personal assistance from, among others, representatives of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, South Carolina Legal Aid and attorneys.

They will be able to get advice on everything from debt consolidation to budget management.

The clinic at the First Federal Financial Center on Grissom Parkway is designed for folks who have lost their jobs, are behind in their mortgages or are already in foreclosure.

According to data from HUD, the foreclosure rate in Horry County is 4 percent -- about the same as for the rest of the state.
