BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (AP) -- Military heroes, ranchers and Jimmy Buffett fans all have new license plates in South Carolina.

The state Department of Motor Vehicles is releasing six new specialty license plates.

One plate honors Korean War veterans, while two more plates honor winners of the Silver Star and Bronze Star. People requesting those plates must show proof they are eligible.

Jimmy Buffett fans can get the new Parrothead plate, honoring the nickname for the singer's fans. Another specialty plate is sponsored by the state Cattlemen's Association.

And members of the South Carolina Aviation Hall of Fame can now get a plate honoring their induction.

The DMV says images of its plates and more information can be found on the agency's Web site at http://www.scdmvonline.com.
