First-year South Carolina basketball coach Darrin Horn knows his team is in for a difficult week. The Gamecocks are off to their best start since the 2004-2204 season. They are 12-2 overall and 1-0 in SEC play with two conference road games on tap this week.
The trip marks Horn's first SEC road trip ever, and he says "life is going to be hard on the road."
The first conference game away from the Colonial Life Arena comes Wednesday night at 8 PM in Baton Rouge against LSU. USC then travels to Knoxville this weekend to face 24th ranked Tennessee. The Volunteers just might be an angry bunch, too, after Kentucky beat them by 18 Tuesday night in their home arena.
