Authorities arrested two Orangeburg men Tuesday for trafficking in a large amount of marijuana.

Thirty-four-year-old Terry Jerome Frederick of Orangeburg and 34-year-old Berley O’Brian Greene of Orangeburg were stopped by authorities on Sandy Creek Road in Pine Ridge after they got a tip the two men would be transporting marijuana.

Officers found two large plastic trash bags in the bed of the pickup truck and three bales of marijuana in the cab. Officers seized about 55 pounds of marijuana, a shotgun and $956 in cash… all found in the pickup truck.

Officers are continuing their investigation.

Greene and Frederick were being held at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting bond hearings.

Both men face charges of trafficking in marijuana and possessing a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
