Pedestrian hit by car, killed

A Columbia man was killed Monday morning after being hit by a car.

Richland County Emergency Services spokesman George Rice says the accident happened at the Clemson and Two Notch Road intersection around 5:32 a.m.

Fifty-eight-year-old Billy Chasteen Jr. died at the scene.
