Nearly 40 volunteers from Shaw Air Force Base and 15 volunteers from Vietnam Veterans of America stood inside the Double J Ranch campgrounds Dec. 7 in Whitmire, S.C. to donate their time to Hoofin’ For Heroes.

Hoofin' for Heroes was a three-day benefit horseback ride that raised $3,200 from riders' fees and donations combined.

The proceeds benefitted the Wounded Warrior Project, a registered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to assist men and women of the armed forces who have been severely injured during conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and other locations around the world.
