COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is planning to unveil a new tax plan aimed at stimulating investment in the state.
The Republican governor has a news conference planned at a solar power company in Greer Tuesday morning.
The state could use a shot in the arm. Unemployment is at a 25-year high and employers are announcing more job cuts. Meanwhile, state revenues are off enough that agencies are bracing for another round of spending cuts this week.
