ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) -- The parents of a man charged with killing his 7-year-old son have reached an agreement with the child's mother on where to bury the boy.
Anderson County victim's advocate Marlene McClain told the Anderson Independent-Mail that an anonymous donor offered a mausoleum crypt Wednesday, ending a dispute that began after Jeremy Dickerson died Friday.
McClain says the families were mostly arguing about the boy's final resting place and should be able to agree on funeral arrangements.
Authorities arrested 40-year-old James Dickerson Jr. and charged him with beating his son to death with a mop handle the day after Thanksgiving.
The boy's mother was trying to regain custody of her son when he was killed.
