LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC -- Three masked men have been wreaking havoc in Lexington County for nearly a month now.

Authorities say the vandals have drawn a bull's-eye on Lexington School District One.

The men have stolen cash and caused more than $20,000 in damages.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts thinks the thieves are issuing a challenge to authorities, "In several situations, they have kinda thumbed their nose at the camera because they know it's there."

While Metts says these suspects look like they're having a good time, he's not laughing.

"I believe that these individuals are probably thrilled about what they're doing, basically they may be bragging about what they're doing, so we hope that information will get to someone who may be willing to contact law enforcement and let us know who these individuals are," Metts said.

Law enforcement wants to catch the three men before they strike again.

"We think there's a high probability that it will happen again based on what's already happened in the six instances that we've had," said Metts.

If you have any information that could help cops catch these crooks, call CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC, and remember all calls remain anonymous.
