Judy Dupont was reunited with her lost diamond necklace.
More than two karats of diamonds... gone in an instant.
"My husband had just gotten back from Iraq," said Judy Dupont. "And I wasn't expecting anything at all, especially diamonds."
Judy's husband had given her a three-piece diamond set to celebrate the couple's 25th wedding anniversary.
But Judy's chance to enjoy her diamond necklace was short-lived. Soon after dropping off some clothes at the St. Andrews Road Goodwill, Judy remembered her diamond necklace was tucked inside a suit.
She headed back to the store and searched the racks, praying for the best. The search turned up nothing.
"It would be a miracle if I got that back," said Judy. She was about to find out miracles really do happen.
"If you do the right thing, something good will come to you," said store manager Michelle Grier.
Goodwill ambassadors sifted through mounds of clothes. Sorter Louise Norton found the missing diamonds and was happy to return them to her manager.
Michelle and Judy have now formed a friendship.
"I just couldn't stop hugging her," said Judy. "The future looks brighter because of people like Michelle. I just can't thank her enough."
"It really made her happy and she's still feeling joyful to this day," said Michelle.
An early gift for the holiday season.
