Two teens were killed in a car wreck near Winnsboro Sunday night.

Around 7:20 p.m. Sunday, the South Carolina Highway Patrol says a four-door Mercury was heading toward Greenbriar Mosey Dale Road when it lost control, veered onto the side of the road, struck several trees and overturned.

Authorities say 14-year-old David Walker was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, while 18-year-old Bransul Alex Nichols was wearing a seat belt. Both died at the scene of the wreck.

Authorities think speed was a factor.
