The victim in a shooting that took place in a West Columbia bar in late September has died.

The shooting happened the morning of September 28 at Shaggy’s Back Room Bar on Sunset Boulevard.

Authorities say 28-year-old Andrew Torrence Jr. and 31-year-old Zachariah Chaplin got into an argument. Cops say Torrence went out to his car and came back with a gun and shot Chaplin twice in the upper body.

Following the shooting, Chaplin was taken to Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital for treatment and was in stable condition.

Chaplin died November 12.

Torrence is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and remains behind bars.
