Missing Aiken woman found safe

An Aiken woman reported missing last week was found safe in Richmond County, Ga.

About 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office found 54-year-old Dorothy McCoy walking near the Fifth Street bridge.

Although disoriented, McCoy was not injured.

McCoy was her returned to her family.

Authorities say McCoy, who suffers from a mental illness, walked away from home and did not return on October 29.
