(AP) -- The mother of a 12-year-old boy who was shot and killed while trick-or-treating on Halloween says her son was a "mama's boy" who loved to help out in the kitchen.
The State newspaper reported that Daphne Grinnell said Tony Darrisaw was a wonderful child who liked to be in the kitchen with her and to cook and bake. Grinnell said her son loved to cook cake and pies as long as he could lick the bowl.
Tony's father and brother were wounded in the shooting.
Police said 22-year-old Quentin Patrick, a felon with multiple drug convictions, is charged with murder, three counts of assault and battery with intent to kill and assault with intent to kill. A 19-year-old in Patrick's home, Ericka Patrice Pee, is charged with obstruction of justice.
