Richland County--Deputies say a 16 year old male pointed a weapon at a male Thursday evening at a Parklane Road parking lot.

The male was just getting out of his vehicle when he was approached by the suspect.  The victim began to scream for help as the suspect demanded he remain quiet.

Investigators say the suspect soon fled behind a nearby business and changed clothes.  The victim was able to provide a description of what the suspect was wearing.

The juvenile suspect was located in a food court and was soon arrested.  He was taken to the Alvin S. Glen Detention Center and charged with attempted armed robbery.
