COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A 40-year-old Lexington woman is jailed after authorities say she stole more than $230,000 from her employer.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division says Catherine Setree is charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent.
The arrest warrant says Setree took the money over a two-year period and deposited it in her personal bank account.
She worked at the Family Medicine Center in Columbia. SLED said an audit found the money was missing and bank records revealed where it was deposited.
SLED said the charges are a felony and punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Setree is in the Richland County jail in Columbia. She is not listed in the local telephone directory.
A call to an attorney SLED said was representing her was not immediately returned Thursday.
