FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say human remains have been discovered in Florence, the third body found in the city in just over a week.
Florence Police Chief Anson Shells say a man mowing a lawn found the skeletal remains Tuesday afternoon.
Shells says the body was too badly decomposed to determine race or sex.
Two other bodies were found in a field about a mile away on Oct. 20 and Tommy Johnson, who lived nearby, has been charged with murder. Shells says he doesn't know if Johnson has an attorney.
Shells says it is too early to tell if there is any link between Johnson and the latest body found, or whether the remains might be a woman who was last seen in the area nearly two months ago.
